WXDU's Mission
WXDU, as a member of the Duke University Union, exists to inform, educate, and entertain both the students of Duke University and the surrounding community of Durham through quality progressive alternative radio programming. WXDU seeks to give its staff the freedom to pursue their personal aesthetic within the framework of a cohesive format. WXDU aims to provide the listener with an alternative viewpoint untainted by commercial interests. WXDU resolves to maintain good relations with the music industry without compromising its integrity and nationally recognized commitment to quality programming. WXDU resolves to remain a laboratory where all members are free to make and learn from their mistakes.

Sequoya, Live Snow Day Interview: Sunday, Jan 31 at 6 PM

Tune in on this very snowy day for conversation with Durham duo Sequoya. We'll be chatting about their music and their upcoming show at the The Broad Street Cafe on Feb 12. Jeremy Blair, who will be also performing with Sequoya on the 12th as Jeremy Blair of Effingham will be on the program with us as well. And if their instruments can handle the cold, the snow and the ice we'll be hearing from both bands live in the studio as well.

 

Western Civ, Live Interview: Sunday, Jan 24 at 6 PM

Tune in for a conversation with Eleni Binge of the Durham duo Beloved Binge. We'll be chatting about the upcoming Secondhand Freespace panel coming up on Jan 20 at Local 506 (Eleni will be the moderator).  Additionally, Beloved Binge will be performing next week at The Pinhook (Jan 23) as part of a benefit concert for Colin Mauger ("Ta Ta to the Tatas"). Colin will be in the studio with us as well.
