Nurse that New Year's Day hangover with WXDU as we countdown our annual Top 100 Albums of 2012, all day Sunday! Starting at 12PM, WXDU DJ's will be playing songs from our 100 most played albums of the year & chatting about the results. This year's list is a healthy mix of local music, indie rock, CBGF (Country-Bluegrass-Folk), R&B/Soul, Electronic & World music that'll be sure to give you an idea of what 2012 sounded like to us.
Join DJs Alison and Xiane for 120 minutes of utterly bizarre, witty, unfaithful, and truly random cover songs from loads and loads of bands and other music people... too much tune for just one spoon!!.... 6-8 pm, Sunday December 30th.
We're doing some work on the streaming server, so the streams may come and go today (Friday 12/14). Bear with us!
WXDU is presenting an awesome show at the Duke Coffeehouse. Nathan Bowles, Wood Ear, and Wooden Wand alltogether, and of course it's free with your Duke ID, and $5 for anyone without an ID. Things get going at 9.
I've been thinking about it for a while and tomorrow I'm really going to do it. My shift is 1 hour and the song is 62 minutes long. I'm going to play it. The track is called Heaven Sent and it's the title track from their 1997 album.
